Kein Grund sich deswegen zu ärgern. Google hat wie versprochen heute eine eigene Youtube App im App Store veröffentlicht:

Die App verfügt über mehr Features als die Apple eigene Youtube App je hatte. Bisher ist die App erst im US App Store zu finden, ich gehe aber davon aus, dass sie in Kürze auch bei uns erscheinen wird. Die App ist inzwischen in allen App Stores verfügbar und kann gratis heruntergeladen werden.
