Facebook kauft Instagram für 1 Milliarde $

Breaking News am Ostermontag. Facebook Gründer und CEO Mark Zuckerberg gab soeben bekannt, man habe den Fotodienst Instagram gekauft:

 I’m excited to share the news that we’ve agreed to acquire Instagram and that their talented team will be joining Facebook.

For years, we’ve focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your friends and family. Now, we’ll be able to work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on your interests.

Instagram hatte erst vor wenigen Tagen seine Android App released und seine Nutzerbasis damit massiv erweitert.

Die App konnte bister auf dem iPhone rund 15 Millionen Benutzer begeistern. Instagram war schon immer mehr als “ nur“ eine Foto App. Es war immer auch eine Social Media Applikation bei welcher es vor allem darum ging Fotos mit seinen Freunden zu teilen.

Daher passt Instagram bestens zu Facebook, welches ja schon seit langem die grösste Foto Community der Welt darstellt.
